Everyday, hundreds of people are devastated by circumstances beyond their control. Many are homeless, dealing with chronic health issues, become victims of disasters or have just fallen between the cracks of America's support systems. Many of these people in need do not have a voice or a support system to help get them back on their feet. Bake sales, church drives and fundraisers can help, but seldom cover the astounding costs that can be accumulated by a devastating illness or disaster. This website was created to supply people in need a place to share their stories and ask for your help utilizing a national forum.
We believe that people who donate have been polarized by fraud, self serving churches and charities leaving them unwilling to help people that are legitimately struggling. Additionally, we believe that average people would donate, if they knew that there would not be blatant misuse of their generosity.
To solve this problem, givupalittle.org will:
- 1. Never receive any of your money. Your donation will be sent directly to the person's Paypal or bank trust account by you.
- 2. Maintain this website with advertisements and volunteers only.
- 3. Battle fraud by providing a verification scale that will hopefully dissuade the con artists and bring to the front people that really need help.
