The motorsports community has a chance to help a young lady who lost her father recently. Mitchell Stimpson, a regular competitor at Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem North Carolina, was shot and killed on December 4, leaving behind a 13-year-old daughter, Lauren Stimpson, who was asleep at home when her father was shot in the middle of the night in the living room of the family’s house. Lauren’s mother previously died of cancer. A trust fund has been established to benefit Lauren, and donations can be made to the Lauren M. Stimpson trust at any Wachovia branch bank
